Youri Tielemans says it is “flattering” to be linked with both Manchester United and Tottenham.
The Belgian midfielder is expected to join a Premier League club this summer after impressing in his half a season on loan at Leicester.
Tielemans admitted on Thursday that he is “unlikely” to stay with parent club Monaco beyond this transfer window, with numerous clubs lining up to sign him.
The Independent say Tielemans has been identified as a potential replacement for Paul Pogba – ‘although not the top choice’ – if he leaves United.
Tottenham have also been linked, “flattering” the 22-year-old.
“We’ll see which club it will be,” said Tielemans. “The only thing I can say is things are moving.
“A lot of clubs have shown interest. We will see in the next few weeks who it will be.”
Asked whether he was flattered by interest from Manchester United and Tottenham in particular, the midfielder replied: “They are really big teams in England and in Europe.
“To hear those names gives me confidence. so yeah, it’s flattering to hear those names.
“I just try to play my game on the pitch and try my best.”
