Pogba credits Solskjaer’s style for ‘beautiful’ end to 2018

Paul Pogba hailed the attacking style Ole Gunnar Solskjaer has brought back to Manchester United after his two goals helped sink Bournemouth on Sunday.

The Frenchman was instrumental in United’s 4-1 win over Bournemouth at Old Trafford, giving Solskjaer his third-straight win since taking over as caretaker manager following the sacking of Jose Mourinho.

The Norwegian’s side have scored 12 goals in those games, with midfielder Pogba – in our team of the week again – particularly enjoying life under the new boss.

Comparing Solskjaer to Jose Mourinho, the France international said on Sky Sports: “Obviously it’s different. We still won some games with the old manager.

“It’s just a different style of playing. We are more offensive so we create more chances. The manager wants to attack and that’s what we do on the pitch.”

Pogba warned there was still plenty of work to do, though.

He added: “There’s still a long way to go but to finish the year like that is beautiful. Maybe we are just relaxed.

“We’re Manchester United and we need to keep up, we need to be at the top of the league. The team needs to enjoy playing football and that’s the result on the pitch.”
