Port Vale v Bristol City preview

Daniel Jones is expected to return to the Port Vale squad against Bristol City.
The left-back has been out for just over a month with a groin strain but came through a 90-minute run out for the reserves on Wednesday and has declared himself ready to compete with Carl Dickinson for a place in Rob Page’s starting line-up.
Page is braced to take the team again while manager Micky Adams recovers from a hip-replacement operation.
The likes of Louis Dodds, Jennison Myrie-Williams, Kaid Mohamed, Richard Duffy and Lee Hughes are also options for Page should he wish to make any changes to the side that started the 1-0 win at Tranmere last weekend.
Bristol City head coach Sean O’Driscoll is sweating on the fitness of centre-back Aden Flint ahead of the trip to Port Vale.
The Robins, who remain without a Sky Bet League One victory since relegation to this level, have trained without the former Swindon defender who has a knee injury.
Louis Carey remains absent with a virus and will not feature at Vale Park but Jordan Wynter has now returned to full training. O’Driscoll looks set to stick with Elliot Parish in goal after handing the former Cardiff man his league debut last weekend.
O’Driscoll remains keen on bringing another loanee into the club but faces a race against time before kick-off.
