Port Vale v Burnley preview

Port Vale boss Rob Page has no fresh injury concerns for Tuesday’s Capital One Cup first-round clash at home to Burnley.
Page remains without the two players who sat out Saturday’s 0-0 Sky Bet League 1 draw at Crewe – goalkeeper Chris Neal (ankle) and midfielder Michael O’Connor (knee).
Jak Alnwick, one of several summer signings to make their Vale debuts as part of the first XI in that game, is set to continue in goal in Neal’s absence.
Striker Ajay Leitch-Smith will be hoping to make his first start for the club after coming on as a substitute in the Crewe contest.
Burnley’s Sam Vokes looks in line to start following his exploits at the weekend.
The striker came off the bench to score his side’s equaliser in Saturday’s 1-1 Championship draw at Leeds.
Absent from that match were injured trio Matt Lowton (shin), Fredrik Ulvestad (ankle) and Ashley Barnes (knee), who all remain unavailable.
Also, left-back Danny Lafferty is set for six weeks out with a broken collarbone while young forward Jason Gilchrist is sidelined for several months with a broken ankle.
