Premier League club join the race to sign Man Utd youngster as ‘talks’ are now underway

Manchester United youngster Facundo Pellistri could be on the move this summer as a Premier League club has joined the race to sign him.
The 21-year-old has only featured sparingly under Erik ten Hag and a loan move could be the best thing for his development.
Pellistri has spent two seasons on loan with Alaves in La Liga and a Premier League loan could benefit the youngster at this stage.
The winger featured in 10 matches across all competitions last season for Man Utd. This season he has made two cameo appearances from the bench against Wolves and Tottenham.
According to The Telegraph, Sheffield United are interested in signing the winger on loan as Paul Heckingbottom looks to add to his offensive options.
The report claims that the Blades are now ‘in talks’ with Man Utd regarding a move as they wait for the green light to complete the deal.
Pellistri has also been linked with a move to FC Twente this summer, but a loan move to the Premier League would perhaps be more appealing.
During pre-season the Uruguayan international spoke on his future and how he and Ten Hag are working together to find a new club.
“Yes, I have spoken to him [Ten Hag] and we are working together to find the best club, the best way, the best option. I am happy with that way because we are all in the same position,” the winger explained via Manchester Evening News.
“[I’m hoping] to play. In my position and at my age, what you want is to play. We are looking forward to find the best solution to do that.”
Pellistri has a bright future ahead of him and a loan move this season could unlock more of his potential.
He would be handed more first team opportunities at Sheffield United and he would be able to prove that he is capable of cutting it in the Premier League.
Sheffield United do have an excellent track record when it comes to utilising the loan market. The likes of Tommy Doyle and James McAtee who were on loan last season played vital roles in their promotion push.
Time will tell if the Blades manage to get a deal over the line for the Man Utd youngster, but this move would seemingly tick plenty of boxes.
