Real Madrid in ‘advanced talks’ to sign €30m reported Man Utd target

Rennes midfielder Eduardo Camavinga is being lined up by Real Madrid before Tuesday’s transfer deadline, according to reports.
The 18-year-old has already played 87 times for French outfit Rennes. This includes 70 appearances in Ligue 1.
Camavinga is one of the most promising young players in Europe and he has been capped three times at senior level for France.

The youngster’s contract at Rennes expires in 2022 and he has been heavily linked with a move to Manchester United this summer.
But it was reported last month that Camavinga “favours Real Madrid” over United.
Respected journalist Fabrizio Romano has reported that Real Madrid are now in “advanced talks” to sign the midfielder:
Real Madrid are in advanced talks with Rennes to sign Eduardo Camavinga immediatly! First reported by French sources tonight – there’s an official bid on the table from Real Madrid. ⚪️🚨 #RealMadrid

Romano later added: “Official bid from Real Madrid for Eduardo Camavinga: bit more than €30m, add ons included in the proposal. Camavinga prefers to leave Rennes now more than as free agent in 2022.
“Agreement close to be finalized. Personal terms agreed until June 2026.”
The Englishman has started the new season strongly as he has netted three goals from United’s first three Premier League games.
Jordan said: “You’re looking at players like Jude Bellingham who is significantly younger, Bukayo Saka at Arsenal and Jadon Sancho at Man United, who’s not really getting a starting line-up opportunity – albeit there was one yesterday – you look at it and say the best players should play for their country.
“I know there was a situation a year ago where he didn’t behave himself very well with Phil Foden – but that’s a year ago. He’s outstanding and as good as anyone that’s around right now.
“This boy will be as good as Kylian Mbappe and for him to be excluded from the England team there must be something we’re missing.
“Maybe we didn’t get the memo about best players being called up or whatever it might be or maybe there’s a reason behind why we’re not being told.
“It beggars belief that a player like this, with this level of electricity and excitement can’t get in.”
