Real to reject huge Liverpool bid for Asensio – report
Liverpool are reported to have made a £158million offer to Real Madrid for Marco Asensio.
That is the claim coming from Mundo Deportivo, which says the bid – if it exists – is expected to be rejected.
Asensio is said to be seen as a replacement for Philippe Coutinho, who left Anfield for Barcelona in January.
The 22-year-old scored 11 goals and contributed six assists in 53 appearances last season, though 25 of those came off the bench.
Asensio has five years remaining on his Real contract which contains a €700m buy-out clause.
