The morale of the Man Utd players has taken a “significant hit” and the dressing room mood is “flat” following their defeat to Leicester City, according to reports.

Man Utd are on a bad run of form of late. They are winless in their last three league games.

Their only win out of their last five games across all competitions was against Villarreal in the Champions League group stages. They were fortunate to take all three points as Cristiano Ronaldo scored a last-minute winner.

Man United are all icing under ‘just do something’ Solskjaer

Man Utd have only taken one point from their last three league games. Last time out, Leicester City came from behind to beat them 4-2 at the King Power Stadium.

This result leaves Ole Gunnar Solskjaer‘s side sixth in the Premier League. They are five points adrift of Chelsea at the top of the table.

ESPN are reporting that the dressing room mood at United is “flat” after their recent run. They add that morale has taken a “significant hit” in the aftermath of the Leicester defeat.

Elsewhere, Gary Neville has suggested that if Cristiano Ronaldo has “disrupted” Man Utd, the forward has not done it purposely:

“I don’t think Cristiano will disrupt the dressing room at all, purposely,” Neville said.

“He may disrupt people naturally through the fact he wants to win. He wants to demand standards from them, but that wouldn’t be disruptive in any strong dressing room. There’s a massive imbalance in Manchester United at the moment. The team has got far too many players who want to get on the ball and not enough players who want to do both sides of the game.

“You could put that down to the players, you could put that down to the manager. He’s got to get more out of them. But when I watch players like Mane, Firmino, De Bruyne, Bernardo Silva, Foden at the other top teams in the league, yesterday evening even watching Loftus-Cheek and Kovacic in midfield, they’re a lot better out of possession than Manchester United are.

“Manchester United are so baggy when they’re out of possession. Every other team gets into a compact, tight shape, shows respect to the opposition. This Manchester United team disrespect the opposition by how they get into their shape, there’s too much distance between the front and the back.

“I don’t care how good you are as a player, if you don’t get into a defensive shape with each other then you are going to get pulled apart by half decent teams and that’s what’s happening at the moment.”
