Former Tottenham boss Mauricio Pochettino wants to return to Spain in his next managerial role, according to reports.

The Argentine was sacked by Spurs early last week and replaced by Jose Mourinho only hours later.

There have been rumours that Pochettino could take over at arch-rivals Arsenal if the club decide to sack Unai Emery, who has come under intense pressure in recent weeks.

And Pochettino has also been heavily linked with Manchester United again after speculation last season that he could be hired at Old Trafford before Ole Gunnar Solskjaer got the gig on a permanent basis.

And now Marca (via Sport Witness)claims that Pochettino’s ‘clear objective’ is to return to management in Spain, where he took charge of Espanyol for three years before moving to England.

The Spanish newspaper then goes on to name five possible destinations. Florentino Perez is understood to be a fan of Pochettino, which means Real Madrid are mentioned before the report names Sevilla, Valencia, Atletico Madrid and Villarreal as other potential options.

The last four names are clubs that ‘would be delighted’ to have Pochettino as their manager.
