Ole Gunnar Solskjaer’s relationship with Manchester United midfielder Paul Pogba is slowly fading, according to reports in France.

The France midfielder has been revitalised since Solskjaer took over in December from Jose Mourinho, with 14 of his 20 combined goals and assists in the Premier League this term coming under the Norwegian.

Pogba has taken a dip in form recently having not scored or created a goal in their last six matches in all competitions.

Since Zinedine Zidane’s return to Real Madrid last month there has been increased speculation linking Pogba with a move to the Bernabeu in the summer.

Despite keeping his cards close to his chest when asked about speculation after United’s 1-0 loss to Barcelona on Wednesday night, a report in Le Parisien claims he has expressed his wish to move on.

The report claims that the temptation to work with Zidane at Real Madrid has proved too tempting as the situation at Old Trafford looks unlikely to improve.

United could be playing in the Europa League next season as they face a four-way battle to qualify for the Champions League by finishing in the Premier League’s top four positions.

Le Parisien add that Pogba has different objectives, while his relationship with Solskjaer has deteriorated in recent weeks.
