Manchester United players have told Rio Ferdinand that they believe Anthony Martial could be as good as “anyone on the planet”.
The Frenchman has enjoyed mixed fortunes at United and has started only four Premier League games this season, scoring five goals.
Martial may not be first choice for Manchester United manager Jose Mourinho, but he is admired by his teammates.
No need for Ibrahimović. No need to take Martial off. No idea why Fellaini started. Full-backs have been pathetic. Yeah, Mourinho can take the blame for this one.

“I’ve been up there a few times and spoken to a few of the lads in the squad,” Ferdinand told BT Sport.
“Every single one of them says the same thing: ‘He could be what he wants to be, in terms of talent, he will rival anyone on the planet’.
“I think it’s feeling the love. I think he needs an arm around him, maybe be the guy that needs a real soft arm around the shoulder and a bit of cotton wool. I think he’s getting that at the moment.”
