Mamadou Sakho is staying at Liverpool, and has not had any arguments with Jurgen Klopp, according to the player’s agent.

Sakho was sent home from the Reds’ pre-season tour of the United States last week due to poor behaviour and time-keeping.

Manager Klopp insisted that the Frenchman, only recently returned from a drugs ban, would not be sold by the club this summer.

Sakho’s Anfield future is expected to be discussed when the club return from America, with the 26-year-old currently training back at their Melwood base.

Agent Niakate Housseyni has dismissed recent speculation linking the France international with a move to Roma.

“I’ve not had any contact with Roma,” he told “He’s a Liverpool player and I don’t think Roma have any chance [of signing him] at the moment.”

Housseyni also denied that Sakho had had “any argument with his boss Jurgen Klopp”.
