Joe Gomez is “not sure” who is better out of Liverpool teammate Mohamed Salah and Brazil star Neymar.
Salah has enjoyed a phenomenal first season at Liverpool since joining from Roma last summer, scoring 36 goals in all competitions.
His fine form has attracted interest from Real Madrid, with Liverpool looking to fend off the Spaniards with a bumper new contract offer.
Real have also been linked with PSG star Neymar, and Gomez finds it difficult to separate the pair.
“I’m not sure (who is better), they’re both world class,” he said, having trained with Salah and marked Neymar out of the game on his international debut for England in November.
“They’re both incredible players and it’s a pleasure for me to come up against such talent.
“It has to be a balance of respecting the ability but also understanding that he’s your opponent and you can’t be in awe of him, otherwise that might not do you any good.
“I try to learn as much as I can about each opponent and study their threats.”
