Sanchez ‘stormed out’ after substitution v Norwich

Alexis Sanchez allegedly ‘stormed out of the stadium’ after being substituted during Arsenal’s win over Norwich last week, leaving Arsene Wenger ‘unimpressed’ with his behaviour.

The Daily Telegraph claims that the Chilean is ‘frustrated’ with life at the Emirates after failing to win the Premier League title once again; they suggest that the former Barcelona forward could stall on signing a new contract.

Sanchez has had a poor season marred by injury problems but has still somehow contrived to be the club’s joint-top scorer in the Premier League with 12 goals.

He was substituted after 84 minutes of Saturday’s 1-0 win over Norwich, with Francis Coquelin taking his place.

‘The Daily Telegraph can now reveal Sánchez not only headed straight down the tunnel without acknowledging Wenger, but then stormed out of the stadium.’

Sanchez voiced his frustrations in March after a 2-1 defeat at home to Swansea that dealt a massive blow to their title chances, saying: “Sometimes we lack this hunger to believe that we can be champions. To go out on to the pitch feeling that we are already winning 1-0.”
