Chelsea duo Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang and Hakim Ziyech could reportedly become the latest players to ditch the Premier League for Saudi this summer.

Mauricio Pochettino is expected to sell several more players as the manager looks to balance the books after a season of huge spending.

For instance, Chelsea have already parted ways with big names such as Mason Mount, Kai Havertz and Mateo Kovacic. They sealed transfers to Premier League rivals Manchester United, Arsenal and Manchester City, respectively.

Also, the Blues have offloaded Kalidou Koulibaly and Edouard Mendy to Saudi Pro League clubs. Now, it seems Aubameyang and Ziyech could follow them there.

Both players have been deemed surplus to requirements by Pochettino as he looks to rebuild the Chelsea team after a disappointing 2022/23 campaign, which saw them finish 12th.

As previously reported by Football365, Ziyech was expected to join Al Nassr until the deal collapsed at the last minute. But now, the deal could be back on.

That is according to the Telegraphwho claim that Al Nassr are growing in confidence that they can still sign the Netherlands internaitonal this summer.

Also, the report adds that Aubameyang could link up with Steven Gerrard at Al Ettifaq.

Ziyech and Aubameyang earn £100,000 and £160,000-per-week respectively at Chelsea and the London club are desperate to get them off the books.

Since arriving at Chelsea in 2020, Ziyech has made 107 appearances across all competitions. In the process, he has scored 14 goals and made 13 assists.

Last season, the attacker made just 18 Premier League appearances after falling behind the likes of Raheem Sterling, Mykhaylo Mudryk and Kai Havertz in the pecking order. Now, there is no doubt that Pochettino wants to sell him.

Aubameyang, on the other hand, made just 15 league appearances last term. In fact, at one point, he was left out of Chelsea’s Champions League squad, showing how little impact he has had on the team since his arrival in 2022.

Now, everything points towards the duo heading to Saudi this summer. Pochettino will still have to find players to replace them, though.

But, Chelsea may have already signed the ideal replacements.

Indeed, Chelsea have brought in Christopher Nkunku and Nicolas Jackson this summer. Both can play as a striker, although Jackson is naturally a winger. So, they look set to play a key role for under Pochettino.

With that in mind, it certainly wouldn’t be a surprise to see Ziyech and Aubameyang join Saudi clubs this summer.
