Juventus striker Mario Mandzukic is still understood to be considering a move to the Premier League in January, according to reports.

Mandzukic has still not played a single minute for Juventus this season with the Italian side remaining intent on offloading him in January.

The Croatia international has been heavily linked with Manchester United since the summer with Red Devils likely to bring in a striker in January, although Erling Braut Haaland appears to be the most likely option.

Bild claimed at the end of November that Dortmund wanted to sign Mandzukic and The Athletic said at the same time that United are no longer an option for the 33-year-old since Ole Gunnar’s Solskjaer’s sights have turned elsewhere.

However, Tuttosport (via Sport Witness) now claims that Mandzukic, who had previously doubted moving to Old Trafford, ‘promised’ himself to United following the summer transfer window.

The report adds that Mandzukic is ready for Juve to sell him and he’s been ‘thinking’ about a transfer to the Premier League ‘for months’.
