Sevilla have confirmed that Steven N’Zonzi has flown to London, but not to discuss a transfer.
N’Zonzi has been linked with a move to both Arsenal and Everton, having fallen out of favour with the La Liga side.
He has not featured since being substituted at half-time of their 3-3 draw with Liverpool in the Champions League.
Arsenal and Everton have since been linked and speculation was abound when N’Zonzi flew to London on Tuesday.
But Sevilla say the Frenchman is in the English capital with their permission, and only to visit his son.
“His situation is due to a technical issue with the coaches and as with all the technical issues, he can change it,” Sevilla chairman Jose Castro said.
“He has travelled to London to visit his son with our permission.
“There aren’t any offers to sign N’Zonzi. I can’t talk about clauses or prices if we don’t have an offer.
“We respect the decision of our coaches, he is training with their mates but currently he isn’t playing.”
