Shaw: Man Utd players believe they can win the Champions League
Luke Shaw says there is a “belief” in the Man Utd dressing room that the team can win the Champions League this season despite their disappointing Premier League performance this season.
The results have picked up a bit under Ralf Rangnick in general but performances have not impressed the Man Utd faithful as they have struggled to convert their chances.
But Rangnick is now going through a tricky period after being knocked out of FA Cup at home to Championship side Middlesbrough before drawing against struggling Burnley in the Premier League on Tuesday.

The draw with Burnley saw Man Utd slip down to fifth in the Premier League behind West Ham before they dropped to sixth yesterday as Arsenal went above them with a 1-0 victory at Wolves.
With the Red Devils not going to mount a Premier League title challenge, their only hope of silverware this season is in the Champions League and Shaw insists the Man Utd squad thinks they can win it.
“The season so far, in general, is, of course, not good enough,” Shaw told talkSPORT. “I think where we want to be and where we are now are two completely different places.
“Obviously, we’re very devastated about getting knocked out of the FA Cup. It was, obviously, a competition that we felt that we could win.
“And, of course, we’re not in a position in the league that we want to be in – we don’t deserve to be with the results we’ve had.
“With how things are going, with the ups and downs, it’s not good enough for a team that wants to win the title.
“You look at the top teams and their consistency, they’re at a high level and are consistently winning matches – we haven’t been doing that.
“But it’s something we’ve looked at and it’s something we need to improve on.
“Of course, we’re still in the Champions League, a lot of people will doubt us, but we have to have that belief that we can go and win it because it’s important to have that inside the dressing room and to have something to fight for.”
