Sheffield United have been linked with a move for former France winger Franck Ribery.
The 36-year-old is a free agent after bringing down the curtain on a 12-year career at Bayern Munich.
According to Kicker, the newly-promoted Blades in the hunt for Ribery.
The report suggests the winger has also received offers from Australia and Qatar but neither destination is “necessarily the first choice” and Ribery still has ambitions of being involved with a major European club.
The move would also make little sense for United, with Chris Wilder said to be on the look out for younger, hungrier talent. Ribery would also expect a wage far beyond the structure in place at Bramall Lane.
