Shock as Champions League win ‘would appeal’ after Spurs star Kane meets Tuchel in London

Bayern Munich are making big effort to sign Harry Kane with Thomas Tuchel meeting the Tottenham star in London, according to Sport Bild journalist Christian Falk.
Manchester United made Kane one of their top targets following the conclusion of the 2022/23 campaign but they soon realised it would prove incredibly difficult to strike a deal with Spurs chairman Daniel Levy.
The England international has just one year remaining on his deal at Tottenham and Levy faces the threat of losing his star player for nothing next summer.
Bayern Munich hope that Levy will be more receptive to interest from abroad, although their £60m opening offer was swiftly rejected.
In an astonishing update from Sport Bild journalist Falk, Kane – who has won zero trophies in his career – has told Tuchel that winning the Champions League at Bayern “would appeal to him”.
Falk wrote on Twitter: “Our Story: Thomas Tuchel has met Harry Kane at his home in London to talk about a transfer to FC Bayern. Kane told Tuchel it would appeal to him to win with Bayern the Champions League @SPORTBILD.”

Transfer expert Fabrizio Romano has revealed that talks with Tottenham boss Ange Postecoglou “will be important to understand” Kane’s future at the club.
Romano told Caught Offside: “So far, no updates on this after the developments last week – for the moment I don’t know when Bayern will bid again for the Tottenham striker after their first proposal was rejected.
“The idea is to try again as we said many times but as for the precise the day, I’m not able to confirm and Bayern would never share that information – it is not in their style.
“At this stage, Kane hasn’t told Spurs that he wants to leave. I think a direct talk with new manager Ange Postecoglou will be important to understand the future of this story.”
That comes after his update on Sunday, which read: “As we know, Bayern submitted a bid earlier in the week for Harry Kane – €70m plus add-ons, which is absolutely not enough to convince Tottenham to sell.
“There was not even a negotiation, Spurs said no straight away and it was not even considered as something concrete or serious.
“Daniel Levy’s intention remains the same – there is no intention to sell the player, and there will be a direct conversation between Kane and Ange Postecoglou to discuss the project and how to continue together.
“However, the reality is that Kane is open to a move to Bayern. At the moment, my understanding is he hasn’t told Tottenham that he wants to leave, but the feeling on Bayern’s side is that Kane is open to making a move.
“He knows that Thomas Tuchel really wants him, so it’s now just about an agreement between the clubs. Bayern have no intention to give up, they are prepared to attack the situation again because they want to sign an important striker this summer.
“They’ve had contacts as well for Dusan Vlahovic, Victor Osimhen and Randal Kolo Muani, but now they want to try again for Kane.
“It could take some time, but they will submit a second proposal, we’ll see if it’s a verbal proposal or an official bid, but for sure they will try again. It’s not going to be easy because Tottenham want to fight to keep the player, but let’s see how it goes in what is sure to be a crucial period for Spurs this summer.”
