Sky Sports pundit claims Klopp won’t pick Liverpool star again

Rob Green claims Adrian’s “season is over” after his mistake led to Chelsea’s first goal in Liverpool’s 2-0 FA Cup loss.

The Spaniard failed to keep out a fierce Willian drive, which was straight at him, as Liverpool fell behind in the clash.

And Green has claimed that Adrian will now have to get used to sitting on the bench.

“He’s been brilliant when’s come in. He’s made a mistake tonight,” the ex-England international goalkeeper said on The Debate.

“When you lose in a defeat that’s one or two goals, and it is that goal which sets the ball rolling, it makes it worse.

“That’s season over, he’s going to have to sit and have a watching brief for the rest of the season. It’s a tough one to take.”

Adrian has generally performed well for Liverpool, particularly at the start of the season when he was covering for the injured Alisson, but his error against Chelsea proved costly.

With Liverpool now fighting on just two fronts, the Premier League and the Champions League, Alisson will likely start the remaining fixtures.
