Emile Smith Rowe is apparently “blown away” by Aston Villa’s interest as they seem poised to lodge a third bid this transfer window for the Arsenal youngster.

This is claimed by the Mirror and despite having two bids rejected Villa are not backing down as they look to bring the 20-year-old to Villa Park this summer.

Smith Rowe made 33 appearances for the Gunners last season and helped the team find some form after coming into the side last Christmas.

The attacking midfielder didn’t appear in any of Arsenal’s first 14 Premier League matches, where they lost on eight occasions.

The Gunners won five and drew two of his first seven in the side, showing his influence on the team despite his inexperience.

Arsenal are keen on keeping Smith Rowe and are hoping that the midfielder will put pen to paper on a new contract as soon as possible.

Villa’s club chiefs are said to be feeling positive about negotiations so far.

Birmingham Live has said that the England U21 man is in control of his own destiny and is likely to have the final say on his future.

Dean Smith has been busy in the transfer window so far, bringing in Emi Buendia from Norwich City for a club-record fee.

Buendia was the Canaries’ player of the season as they won the Sky Bet Championship title and sealed an immediate return to the Premier League, scoring 15 goals and registering 16 assists – more than any other player in the division.

The signing of Buendia and interest in Smith Rowe has raised a lot of questions in regards to the future of club captain Jack Grealish.

Grealish has been linked with a move to Manchester City, but is currently concentrating on Euro 2020 with England.

The 25-year-old was an unused sub during the Three Lions 4-0 win against Ukraine in the quarter-finals.

Next up for Gareth Southgate’s side is Denmark at Wembley tomorrow evening.

The Danes defeated the Czech Republic in the last round and will be every neutrals favourite to win the whole thing.

Italy and Spain will battle it out tonight for the first spot in Sunday’s final at Wembley.
