Southampton midfielder tips Allegri for Arsenal job

Arsenal should appoint Massimiliano Allegri to replace Arsene Wenger in the summer, according to a Southampton midfielder.

Mario Lemina, clearly angling for a reunion with the Juventus coach if he is appointing in north London, says Allegri would have a similar affect to Pep Guardiola and Antonio Conte.

Allegri signed Lemina from Marseille in 2015, and the midfielder was a bit-part player for two seasons in Turin.

He did feature in the Champions League final defeat to Real Madrid in 2017 however, and speaks fondly of the Italian.

“He will give something special to the Premier League like Pep Guardiola [Manchester City] did, and Antonio Conte [Chelsea] did as well,” Lemina told Sky Sports News.

“Because he is Italian he will give something special because he is more tactical. I think he would be very good for Arsenal if he goes.”
