When is Southampton v Arsenal?

Barring any health emergencies, the game is scheduled to take place on Thursday June 25.

What time does Southampton v Arsenal kick-off?

The game is scheduled for a 6pm kick-off and is one of two matches, the other being Burnley v Watford, in that time slot.

What is at stake?

Arsenal have endured a wretched return to Premier League action having first lost at Man City and then suffering a late defeat at Brighton. It has left the Gunners languishing off the pace for Europa League qualification and in desperate need of a win at St Mary’s.

Southampton, on the other hand, all but secured their safety with a win 3-0 win at Norwich last time out and can play without pressure for the remainder of the campaign.

Where can I watch Southampton v Arsenal?

Sky Sports are broadcasting both 6pm matches on Thursday 25 simultaneously.

Is Southampton v Arsenal free-to-air?

No. You are going to need a Sky Sports subscription or Now TV pass to watch this one.

What is the team news?

The restart hasn’t been kind to Arsenal on the injury front. Goalkeeper Bernd Leno suffered a serious knee injury against Brighton and will now likely miss the rest of the season. Granit Xhaka was injured against Man City and will be out for at least a couple of weeks.

Pablo Mari was also an injury victim against City and won’t be rushed back. The game will also come too early for Lucas Torreira and Sokratis Papastathopoulos. David Luiz serves the second of a two-match suspension.

Southampton are in much better shape and report no new injury concerns.

What happened in the reverse match?

Arsenal needed an injury-time equaliser from Alexandre Lacazette to salvage a 2-2 draw against Southampton at the Emirates in November.

What are the odds?

Home advantage sees Southampton installed as the slight favourites at around 8/5, while Arsenal can be backed at 13/8. The draw is priced at 5/2.
