Southampton v Shrewsbury preview

Richard Chaplow will be in the Southampton squad for the FA Cup visit of Shrewsbury on Saturday afternoon.
The midfielder has extended his loan spell from Preston until the end of December and has been granted permission to play in the competition.
Chaplow should keep his place in the starting line-up ahead of Morgan Schneiderlin, who is one booking away from a one-match ban.
Striker Nicholas Bignall’s loan spell from Reading ended after Tuesday’s 4-0 win over Dagenham, during which he came on as a late sub.
Full-back Danny Butterfield (thigh) and striker David Connolly (stomach) remain on the treatment table.
Teenage winger Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain’s superb two-goal display in midweek should see him retain his place in the starting line-up.
Shrewsbury will be boosted by the return of influential winger Lionel Ainsworth for the FA Cup trip to St Mary’s.
Ainsworth has missed the last two games due to a groin injury and his comeback is a big plus for Shrews, who have triumphed in both fixtures he was absent for.
He is likely to come back into the mix and start against Saints, as Town look to repeat their cup successes against fellow League One sides Charlton and Oldham earlier in the season.
Centre-back Ian Sharps (hamstring) misses out, although he is not too far away from his return. Full-back Dave Raven (groin) faces at least another week on the sidelines.
Defensive loan signing Exodus Geohaghon is available, having been granted permission to play by parent club Peterborough.
Strikers Tom Bradshaw (ankle) and Nathan Elder (knee) remain in the treatment room, although the former should be back by mid-November.
