Spurs boosted with midfielder’s injury described as ‘not serious’

Tottenham are expected to have Victor Wanyama available for the derby against West Ham this weekend.

The defensive midfielder, who has struggled for fitness over the last year, limped off during Kenya’s 3-0 victory against Ethiopia.

It seemed that Wanyama had suffered a hamstring problem during the second half after netting in the victory.

But Kenya coach Sebastian Migne told journalists that Wanyama’s problem was “not serious” and that his withdrawal was a precautionary measure.

Ahead of the trip to the London Stadium, Mauricio Pochettino is already without midfielders Christian Eriksen, Dele Alli and Mousa Dembele.
