Exiled Spurs defender Danny Rose has been given the chance to get his career back on track in Turkey, according to reports.

The left back hasn’t featured under manager Jose Mourinho since January 2020.

He has fallen behind Sergio Reguilon and Ben Davies in the pecking order at Spurs.

According to talkSPORT, Rose has been offered a contract by Turkish outfit Trabzonspor.

They are hoping to sign the Englishman as long as he is willing to take a pay cut.

They’ve offered him a contract until June 2024.

The report states that officials in Turkey are confident of signing Rose.

Trabzonspor want him to join English players Benik Afobe and Lewis Baker, who are on loan from Stoke City and Chelsea respectively.

It’s not yet clear whether Rose has responded to the contract offer.

His time in North London is almost certainly coming to an end.

Earlier this month, reports emerged stating that Spurs were considering cancelling his contract for £2.4 million.

That shows how desperate they are to get the England international off their books.

Rose spent the second half of last season on loan with Newcastle, in an attempt to get his career back on track.

He made 11 appearances in the Premier League as the Magpies finished 13th on 44 points.

Rose has previously been linked with a loan move to Leeds United. It was thought that he could compete with Ezgjan Alioski for a place in Marcelo Bielsa’s starting lineup at left wing back.

That deal failed to materialise, with West Ham and Aston Villa also failing to act upon their reported interest.

It looks like Rose’s time in the Premier League is at an end. His European Championship hopes are over, compounded by the form of Bukayo Saka and recent resurgence of Luke Shaw.
