Saints were paired with Alashkert, who usually play home games in their 6,850-capacity stadium, when the draw was made for the first qualifying round of the competition.

But the away game on July 2 could be moved to the alternative venue in the Armenian capital Yerevan, with the Vazgen Sargsyan Republican Stadium holding closer to 14,500 spectators.

The return leg will place will take place at McDiarmid Park a week later, with the winners of the tie taking on either Red Star Belgrade or Kairat Almaty of Kazakhstan in the second round qualifiers.
