Premier League stats time. Here’s a look at which Premier League teams have improved their efficiency in front of goal this season.

Some takeaways…

  • Leicester have been extremely efficient in front of goal having taken an average of 4.6 shots per game fewer than last season.
  • Newcastle have taken the fewest number of shots this season…
  • …but the Magpies have still scored as many goals as Manchester City despite having made 53 fewer attempts on goal.
  • Only Liverpool have attempted more shots than Leeds, but Marcelo Bielsa’s men have been almost as wasteful in the Premier League as they were in the Championship.
  • Only five clubs have attempted fewer shots than Arsenal, who are averaging 1.6 shots per game fewer.
