Raheem Sterling is seeking a £100,000-a-week pay rise at Manchester City, according to The Times.
The England forward’s contract expires in 2020 but he is in no rush to extend that deal unless City give him a bumper pay rise.
Sterling currently earns £175,000 a week and wants an extra £100,000 a week to reflect his status as one of the club’s most valuable assets.
That pay hike would put him ahead of Sergio Aguero at City and behind only five players – Alexis Sanchez, Harry Kane, Mesut Ozil, Paul Pogba and Kevin de Bruyne – in the Premier League.
Both Mo Salah and Eden Hazard currently earn around £200,000 a week and would be leapfrogged by Sterling if City acquiesce to his wishes.
Marcus Rashford has scored 2 goals in last 2 matches for England
Meanwhile Raheem Sterling hasn't scored in last 26 goals for England
But according to media, it's Jose who's holding Rashford back and Guardiola is improving Sterling. Wow.
