Luis Suarez sparked a row in the tunnel after Barcelona beat Espanyol in a fiery derby encounter on Wednesday, according to a referee’s report.

Barca took a 4-1 lead in the Copa del Rey round of 16 tie through two goals from Lionel Messi, and one each from Gerard Pique and Neymar.

Espanyol received eight yellow cards and two reds during the match, one of which came during an incident involving Suarez.

Papakouli Diop was sent off in the second half after an argument with the Barca forward, with referee Martinez Munuera claiming the the midfielder told Suarez: “I s**t on your ***** mother.’

Munuera also reported on Suarez’s actions in his post-match report, with the Uruguayan allegedly waiting for Espanyol players to emerge in the tunnel before sparking a clash between the two sets of players.

“At the end of the game, once in the tunnel, Barça’s No.9, Suarez, Luis, while the Espanyol players were coming up the stairs, waited for them and shouted at them on various occasions,” the report read.

“He said: ‘I’m waiting for you, come here! You’re a waste of space.’

“It provoked a confrontation between players of both clubs and the present security guards had to get involved, as did coaches of both teams.”
