Manchester United youngster Hannibal Mejbri is in high demand right now as three clubs battle for the signature of the 20-year-old.

The youngster spent last season out on loan with Birmingham City and quickly became a fan favourite with the Championship club.

Hannibal has been told a loan move to Ligue 1 would be good for his development, although a couple of English clubs have now entered the race to sign him.

As reported by Football League World, three clubs have expressed an interest in taking the 20-year-old on loan for the season.

Leicester City and Luton Town have each been mentioned as interested, while the third club remains unknown at this point in time.

A move to either Leicester or Luton would be great for Hannibal’s development. At Leicester, he would get the chance to play under a progressive coach in Enzo Maresca while at Luton he would be handed a Premier League opportunity.

Hannibal certainly took his chance at Championship level last season with a noteworthy season with Birmingham.

The youngster made 38 league appearances and produced six goal contributions in that time. He also wasn’t afraid to get stuck in as he picked up 10 bookings throughout the season.

Birmingham manager John Eustace lauded the youngster’s performance following an impressive display against West Brom.

“He was fantastic, his energy, all-round performance was a different class,” the Birmingham boss told Sky Sports in February.

“A 20-year-old boy, first loan you are going to get dips in form, tired legs, which I think we have seen this season.

“But tonight he was back at his best. He came on at half time last week, was instrumental in us turning the game around. It’s all part of having a first time loan player, you take with the highs and the lows but tonight he was unplayable.”

Erk ten Hag will have the final say on what to do with Hannibal, but a loan spell looks more than likely as he continues to develop his game.
