Torino president doubts Hart after another error

Torino president Urbano Cairo believes Joe Hart’s performance levels have deteriorated as speculation over his future has increased.

Hart has been on loan at the Serie A club this season after being deemed surplus to requirements at Manchester City by Pep Guardiola.

The England goalkeeper has largely impressed in Italy, with head coach Sinisa Mihajlovic hoping to keep the 30-year-old, even if Torino cannot afford a permanent deal.

But the club’s president has questioned Hart’s focus after the keeper was at fault for Crotone’s equaliser in a 1-1 draw this weekend.

“There’s too much being said about Hart,” Cairo told Tuttosport.

“Since this has been happening, his performance levels have dropped. This is already the third time we concede a goal this way and that’s a bit too much.”

“It happens and I like him, but come on…

“He’s a great goalkeeper, though, and let’s see how things evolve.”
