Tottenham Hotspur have reportedly agreed to sell two players, while Man Utd ‘remain in the hunt’ for Brentford goalkeeper David Raya.

Ange Postecoglou has been confirmed as Spurs’ new manager ahead of the 2023/24 season and he has a major job on his hands this summer.

The former Celtic boss is being tasked with overhauling Tottenham’s squad after they endured a terrible campaign in 2022/23. They exited each cup competition prematurely and they finished eighth in the Premier League.

A detailed report from 90min claims Tottenham ‘will consider selling Eric Dier and Pierre-Emile Hojbjerg this summer’, but Harry Kane has been ‘informed that he will not be sold’.

Dier recently indicated that he is open to “playing abroad again at some point in the future”.

“Who knows where football will take me in two or three years?” Dier told The Times.

“I’m still young, I’ve got a lot of time left. I’m looking after myself. I think I will play abroad again at some point in the future, but there’s no rush on that.

“I would really enjoy experiencing a different type of football again. I think it will happen at some point and I think I look forward to experiencing football in a different culture because I loved it as a kid as well.”

The report from 90min adds: ‘Postecoglou is prepared to let a number of first-team players go as the club’s rebuild takes shape, with Davinson Sanchez also up for sale.

‘Meanwhile, Dejan Kulusevski may have to win over Postecoglou if his loan move from Juventus is made permanent. Sources have told 90min the ex-Celtic boss is not too convinced by the Swede at this moment.’

While Man Utd are known to be major admirers of Kane, they are also battling Tottenham for Brentford and Spain shot-stopper Raya.

United and Spurs are in the market for a new goalkeeper this summer as they are looking to sign long-term replacements for David De Gea and Hugo Lloris respectively.

A report from The Telegraph claims Man Utd ‘remain in the hunt’ for Raya but Tottenham are ‘leading the race’ to sign the goalkeeper.

Spurs are in ‘pole position’ to sign the Brentford standout but they are ‘reluctant to pay the £40 million fee that has been publicly demanded by Brentford head coach Thomas Frank and there is no expectation that a deal will be agreed imminently’.

This could ‘open the door’ for Man Utd to sign Raya ‘later in the window’ as their ‘interest’ in the 27-year-old has ‘not faded’.
