Barcelona are looking to Manchester United and Tottenham for defenders, according to a report in Spain.
The Catalan giants sit top of La Liga, level on points with arch-rivals Real Madrid, despite conceding 15 goals – the most of any top six side.
Barca’s attack that contains Lionel Messi, Luis Suarez and Antoine Griezmann have bagged 33 goals to ensure the club have amassed enough points to sit at the summit.
However, they will be wanting to improve on their defensive woe and El Desmarque (via Sport Witness) claim that Barcelona are ‘aware’ of potential free transfers and will look at striking deals in January.
The report from Spain describes the trio as ‘juicy options’ for Barcelona with Bailly understood to be the priority.
While 25-year-old Bailly’s age is a major pro for the Catalans, Spurs defender Vertonghen is said to fit Barcelona’s ‘profile’.
