Premier League side Tottenham have made an offer for Real Sociedad striker Willian Jose, according to reports.
The Brazilian has scored eight goals in 20 league appearances for Sociedad this season with 16 of those starts.
Sociedad find themselves in sixth position in LaLiga this term with Champions League qualification looking like a real possibility as they sit only four points off third-placed Atletico Madrid.
Jose spent five years at Deportivo Maldonado in Uruguay between 2011 and 2016, where he was loaned out to several clubs, including Real Madrid.
In 2016, the 28-year-old got a permanent move to Sociedad and has since scored 52 goals in 121 appearances in all competitions for the Spanish outfit.
The report adds that Spurs have made an informal offer for the striker as they are yet to make it official with Sociedad.
The Spanish side ‘do not enter into the hypothesis of negotiating’ with Spurs for Jose as they are keen to keep one of their best players.
It is understood that Tottenham are ‘far from the value’ of Jose anyway with the player’s €70m release clause the fee Sociedad are believed to be looking for.
The report doesn’t shed light on exactly how much Spurs are offering but they do say it’s ‘not equal to the quality of the Brazilian striker’.
