Tottenham midfielder Giovani Lo Celso will be ‘one of the most desired’ players in the summer transfer window, according to reports.

The Argentine international has rediscovered his form on loan at Villarreal. He joined the La Liga club in January.

He was allowed to leave in the winter window alongside fellow midfielders Tanguy Ndombele and Dele Alli.

According to Estadio Deportivo (via Sport Witness), Lo Celso is ‘feeling like a player again’ under Unai Emery at Villarreal.

It is stated that the 25-year-old endured an ‘irregular’ period at Tottenham and the player that ‘everyone fell in love with’ at Real Betis is re-emerging at Estadio de la Ceramica.

Lo Celso is unlikely to be short of options in the summer should Spurs look to get rid of him on a permanent basis.

It is said that ‘more than a few Villarreal fans’ want their team to sign the midfielder.

His ‘continuity’ at Spurs looks unlikely with Lo Celso expected to be ‘one of the most desired’ players in the summer.

Meanwhile, Leeds United winger Raphinha is worth spending “a lot of money” on, according to former Spurs manager Tim Sherwood.

The Brazilian signed for Leeds from French outfit Rennes ahead of their return to the Premier League in 2020.

Since this move, Raphinha has been a breakout star in the top flight as he has shone for the West Yorkshire side.

And Sherwood has urged his former club to make the “low-risk signing” of Raphinha.

He told the Analysis Show: “Very difficult [for Leeds] to keep him. I’m not exaggerating to say he could play anywhere in the Premier League. There is not a team he wouldn’t fit. It depends how regularly he wants to play, and Leeds’ ambition.

“He is only going to be a lot of money to buy, but it is worth it. He has shown that he can play in the Premier League, a low-risk signing. I’d like to have him at Tottenham, I think he’d be a great player at Tottenham.”
