Tottenham Hotspur’s “priority” for this month has been revealed as they are “considering a fresh move” for Wolves star Adama Traore, according to reports.
Spurs were interested in the Wolves winger earlier in the season but a move did not come to fruition.
Traore made the move to Wolves in 2018 as they signed him for £18m from Championship side Middlesbrough.
Are Spurs simply too Spurs even for Conte to solve?
The Spaniard’s standout season for Wolves came in 2019/20. He grabbed nine goals and four assists from his 37 Premier League outings that term.
Traore has made 20 appearances this season but he has only started ten times in the league.
The Athletic have revealed that Spurs’ “priority” this month is to add “some attacking quality at right wing-back”.
To do this, Tottenham are “considering a fresh move” for Traore. He is out of contract in 2023 and he is reportedly valued at £20m.
Elsewhere, earlier this week Antonio Conte insisted that Harry Kane is “totally involved in Spurs project now”:
“First of all, we are talking about a really good person and a really good man. And I think this is the most important thing.
“Because I knew the situation in the summer and, when Harry decided to stay in Tottenham, I found a player totally involved in this project now.
“I am happy to have him in my team because for sure we are talking about the top player, a top striker in the world, and if we want to win or if we want to think to build something to win, Harry must be a point of start.
“This is normal and he knows very well my opinion, but I repeat I’m very happy to work with him and I think that he has enjoyed the time, what we are building with the team and that is all.
“He wants to give 100 per cent in every game. I am totally satisfied with his commitment and the relationship that we have created within the team.
“He is a point of reference in the dressing room and an experienced player. I am totally enthusiastic about his involvement in the team and the Tottenham project.”
