Premier League side Tottenham will make as many as six new signings before the end of the transfer window, according to reports.

The Harry Kane transfer saga has dominated most of the Spurs column inches ahead of the new season with the England international seemingly likely to leave for Bayern Munich in the summer.

Harry Winks and Lucas Moura have left the club, while Spurs have signed Guglielmo Vicario, James Maddison, Ashley Phillips and Manor Solomon, as well as turning Dejan Kulusevski and Pedro Porro’s loan deals into permanent stays.

And Football Insider insist that Tottenham will not be stopping there, in fact they ‘expect to complete at least six more signings in a late-window blizzard’.

It is claimed they are at the ‘advanced stages’ of negotiations to seal deals for Wolfsburg defender Micky van de Ven and Rosario Central striker Alejo Veliz.

Veliz revealed today that a deal is “imminent”, he said: “I just wait to sign my contract with Spurs, it’s imminent. I will say goodbye to the fans with formal message.

“I spoke with Gio Lo Celso. He told me that I will have all the support of him and he will be waiting for me.”

Football Insider adds:

‘Spurs expect to bring in another new centre-back, and they will also sign replacements for star duo Harry Kane and Pierre-Emile Hojbjerg if they leave by deadline day.

‘That would mean at least six more signings are still to be done, and there could be even more arrivals before the window shuts.’

In another report from the same website, it is claimed that Tottenham ‘will not sanction an exit’ for Pierre-Emile Hojbjerg until they sign a replacement for the Denmark international.

It is understood that Spurs can expect to receive a fee ‘in excess of £25m’ for Hojbjerg with Atletico Madrid closing in on a deal for the midfielder.

Transfer expert has brought an update on Kane’s potential move from Tottenham to Bayern Munich with “the deal absolutely on”.

Romano wrote in his Caught Offside column: “What happens if Bayern Munich miss out on Harry Kane after putting a lot of time and effort into the deal? Obviously, the club have backup options but nothing is advanced as they are still chasing Kane.

“I’m told Bayern’s focus remains fully on Kane and while I’m writing this, the deal is absolutely on. The only answer I am getting from Bayern is: focus on Kane.

“Many ask why Kane is not going public with his wish to join Bayern Munich this summer, with the feeling being that it will help the move materialise; for me, I’m not sure that going public and asking for a move would be the best way to go about things.

“You may remember that two years ago that kind of stance didn’t work regarding the Man City move. Daniel Levy will never make a decision based on that kind of thing.

“Kane is very open to leaving Tottenham this summer, but he leaves things to the clubs. He’d love to join Bayern but he’s absolutely not desperate to leave Tottenham if the move can’t be finalised.”
