Tottenham manager Jose Mourinho confirmed that Eric Dier will play in their Premier League clash with Burnley on Saturday.
Dier went into the crowd to confront a supporter who was arguing with his brother after Spurs’ FA Cup exit at home to Norwich on Wednesday.
When asked if Dier would play this weekend, Mourinho said: “Of course, the only thing that matters is nothing really big happened and secondly he played so, so well. Of course he is going to play.
“The only thing I can say is that if I see something happen to my son I would do the same. I would think two seconds about doing the same.”
Tottenham will assess the fitness of goalkeeper Hugo Lloris ahead of the trip to Turf Moor, although Mourinho is hopeful the Frenchman will play.
