Tottenham transfer ‘door opens’ as €16m star ‘burns bridges’ at PL club amid deadline day collapse

According to reports, the ‘door has opened’ for Tottenham Hotspur to sign centre-back Tosin Adarabioyo from their Premier League rivals Fulham.
One of Ange Postecoglou’s priorities during the summer transfer window was to strengthen in defensive areas.
Spurs were linked with several potential signings – including Bayer Leverkusen’s Edmond Tapsoba – before they snapped up Micky van de Ven from Wolfsburg for around £40m.
Adarabioyo – who is valued at €16m by transfermarkt – was reportedly on their radar but he appeared set to sign for Ligue Un outfit AS Monaco before the transfer window closed.
This deadline day transfer did not end up going through and Football Insider are reporting that ‘the door has opened for Tottenham to sign out of favour Fulham defender Adarabioyo’. They add.
‘Spurs were interested in a move for the 25-year-old and faced competition from AS Monaco, but a late move did not materialise and he remained at Craven Cottage.
‘Adarabioyo has entered the final year of his contract and is believed to have burnt his bridges at Fulham which will make it difficult for him to break back into the side.
‘After Monaco saw a bid rejected for Adarabioyo, he ultimately remained in London. The centre-back had been training alone until recently and has made just one substitute appearance this term after being left out of the match day squad for their first two games of the season.’

Regarding Adarabioyo, Football Insider added: ‘With less than 12 months remaining on his deal, Adarabioyo can discuss a pre-contract agreement with foreign sides on 1 January.
‘I’m told Spurs could even agree a cut-price fee with Fulham for a player who could walk away for free just months later.’
Tottenham’s Pierre-Emile Hojbjerg was linked with Fulham in the summer but according to Football Insider, he is ‘likely to have to wait until January to get his move away’.
‘Pierre-Emile Hojbjerg has been linked with a move to Turkey after late-window interest from Fulham and Atletico Madrid failed to materialise into a full agreement.
‘He was not keen to join Fulham, while Atleti only came in with a loan offer for his services. I’m told Spurs prefer to receive a fee for the ex-Southampton man.
‘Postecoglou’s side have now closed the door to an out-of-window exit for the midfielder as they didn’t manage to add another midfield signing of their own. Sources say Hojbjerg is likely to have to wait until January to get his move away from the club.’
