Chelsea are ‘desperate’ and considering a reunion with Tammy Abraham, while Liverpool are hoping to bag NGolo Kante on a free transfer…

Having seemingly run out of new targets, Chelsea are now looking to re-sign players they have already sold.

Apparently, the Blues are considering a move to bring Tammy Abraham back to Stamford Bridge. That’s the word according to Football Insider, with Chelsea ‘desperate’ to recruit a new out-and-out striker.

They are also keen on Victor Osimhen, as are most of the big-hitters across Europe, but Abraham appeals as he would be cheaper than the Napoli hitman. Around half the price, perhaps, if it is true that Chelsea have the option to re-sign the England striker for £70million.

Abraham left Chelsea in 2021 for Roma where he scored 27 goals for Jose Mourinho. This term he is currently on seven goals and five assists in 32 appearances in all competitions.

The 25-year-old could be returning to Chelsea around the same time as Romelu Lukaku after Inter Milan chief-exec Giuseppe Marotta revealed that they are yet to decide whether they intend to negotiate a deal for the Belgium striker.

Arsenal and Liverpool are both monitoring movements at Chelsea hoping to pick up a player or two…

The Gunners are said to be eyeing up Raheem Sterling following his underwhelming start to life at Stamford Bridge. 90min says Mikel Arteta appreciates Sterling’s Champions League experience ahead of Arsenal’s inevitable return to the competition next season. Sterling isn’t seeking a move but he could be ushered towards the exit as part of the next phase of Chelsea’s rebuild.

Liverpool are also watching closely as they look to bolster their midfield. Their interest in Mason Mount is well documented but Football Insider says N’Golo Kante is also a target.

Kante is approaching the end of his contract at Chelsea and talks are ongoing over an extension, with the France star apparently willing to recommit but no agreement has yet been reached.

Real Madrid seem to be busy making contingency plans, with a couple of ex-Arsenal targets in their thinking…

One of their priorities for the summer is Jude Bellingham. But if the England star chooses to move elsewhere – Liverpool or Manchester City most likely – then Real will make a move for Bruno Guimaraes.

The Brazilian has been a huge hit since signing for Newcastle just over a year ago and looks settled on Tyneside. But Defensa Central speculates that interest from Real could unsettle the midfielder.

Real also need to reinforce their forward line. They want to sign Erling Haaland or Kylian Mbappe as long-term replacements for Karim Benzema but if neither could be recruited this summer, Fichajes reckons they will move for Juventus striker Dusan Vlahovic as a stop-gap.
