Mason Mount applauds Chelsea fans after a defeat to Tottenham.

Mason Mount has spoken to Liverpool and he remains attentive to Bayern Munich but Chelsea are demanding a huge fee to sell their academy graduate. There is also gossip for Arsenal, Spurs, Leeds and West Ham…

If Liverpool thought they might bag themselves a bargain because Mason Mount’s contract at Chelsea is ticking down, it seems they were wrong.

Mount will enter the final year of his contract this summer and with little prospect of a renewal on the horizon, it is claimed the Blues would prefer to sell than lose their academy graduate for nothing in 2024.Which makes sense given Chelsea have to make sales to satisfy Premier League FFP restrictions.

Liverpool and Manchester United have both been linked with Mount, as have Bayern Munich in recent days after Thomas Tuchel took over at the Allianz Arena – a prospect the England star fancies, according to the Guardian. But Liverpool are certainly frontrunners if Mount decides to leave his boyhood club.

Indeed, The Athletic says the Reds have already held talks with Mount over how he would fit into Jurgen Klopp’s plans and what salary he could expect by moving to Anfield. But Chelsea won’t let him go for a pittance. Indeed, it is claimed that Todd Boehly has put a £70million price tag on Mount’s bonce.

Arsenal have been linked again with a move for Eric Garcia. After missing out on the Barcelona centre-back last summer, Mikel Arteta is said to have reaffirmed his commitment to sign the Spain defender before the start of the new campaign.

The Gunners are also looking to Turkey for defenders. According to Tuttomercatoweb, Galatasaray right-back Sacha Boey is a target.

The 22-year-old, who can operate on either flank, came through the ranks at Rennes before moving to Istanbul in 2021. The France Under-20 international will have two years remaining on his contract his summer and Arsenal expect there is a deal to be done.

As they look to strengthen their attack, Arsenal have been sniffing around Brazilian youngster Vitor Roque. Mundo Deportivo says Edu has been working away in his homeland to secure a deal with Athletico Panaraense for the 18-year-old who is also a target for Barcelona.

A few managerial whispers doing the rounds this morning…

The Sun suggests that Vincent Kompany is among the leading contenders to take over at Tottenham in the summer after he gets Burnley back into the Premier League.

Leeds will also be looking for a new boss if Javi Gracia doens’t stay on and Talksport reckons axed Palace manager Patrick Vieira is a candidate.

David Moyes is also likely to be available, with 90min saying West Ham will make a change at the end of the season regardless of whether they survive in the Premier League.
