With Saul set to swap places with Griezmann at Barca, Liverpool are preparing a huge bid for an Italy star…
LIVERPOOL PREPARE £60M BID FOR EURO 2020 WINNER
Liverpool appear to be in danger of missing out on two of their primary targets this summer…
PSV Eindhoven forward Donyell Malen has reportedly agreed terms to Borussia Dortmund over a move to Germany, while talk is intensifying of Saul Niguez heading to Barcelona, with Antoine Griezmann going back to Atletico Madrid.
For Atletico, the prospect of re-signing Griezmann certainly seems more appealing than the makeweights Liverpool are prepared to offer. According to the Daily Express, the Reds were ready to include one of Divock Origi or Xherdan Shaqiri in a player-plus-cash offer.
La Repubblica reckons Liverpool have already moved on. Apparently the Reds are preparing a £60million offer for Inter Milan midfielder Nicolo Barella.
That may not be enough. Fabrizio Romano says Inter consider the Italy star to be ‘untouchable’ while FCInterNews claims Barella’s preference is to remain with the Serie A champions.
EVERTON TOLD TO INCREASE KOULIBALY OFFER
Across Stanley Park, Everton are also casting their eye towards Italy…
Rafa Benitez’s interest in Kalidou Koulibaly was reported earlier in the week and it seems the Toffees have firmed up their interest in the centre-back with an opening bid.
Calciomercato reports that Everton offered £30million plus add-ons for the Senegal star but Napoli are demanding £50million for the 30-year-old.
CITY COULD TURN TO LEWANDOWSKI
Manchester City are also weighing up a second offer for their primary target after seeing a £100million offer for Harry Kane rejected by Tottenham on the eve of the European Championships.
There is a significant difference between City’s valuation and that of Daniel Levy, which means a deal with Tottenham could be impossible.
If so, then the Daily Mail says City may move instead for Robert Lewandowski.
The Bayern Munich hitman broke the Bundesliga goalscoring record last season but aged 32 with two years left on his contract, Lewandowski could be more attainable this summer.
The Red Devils reportedly fear that Rennes midfielder Camavinga has his heart set on joining Real Madrid, but The Telegraph says they would have no problem convincing Kieran Trippier to move to Old Trafford.
Apparently, the England full-back is gasping for a return to the Premier League and he’s ready to tell Atletico that he wants to leave this summer.
But Atletico will expect £30million for Trippier – three times the value of United’s opening offer.
