Gossip: Man City set Sterling price, Salah demands revealed

Mo Salah and Raheem Sterling are both out of contract in 2023.

CITY SET STERLING PRICE
Raheem Sterling has said he is open to leaving Manchester City and the champions are willing to let him go – if they receive the right offer.

According to Marca, the number they are looking for is close to £70million. Presumably to put Barcelona back in their box, City have made it known that they would accept €80million to allow the England winger to depart, which would seem to put Sterling out of the Catalans’ reach.

The 26-year-old is out of contract in 2023 and City’s valuation may also include the Newcastle premium, with the newly-minted Magpies also having been linked with Sterling.

SALAH WANTS PL’S HIGHEST SALARY
Mo Salah is also out of contract in 2023 and the Egypt star is in talks with Liverpool over a renewal.

It was thought that those negotiations were moving towards a deal worth around £350,000 a week, which would put him among the Premier League’s highest earners.

But The Telegraph reckons Salah is looking for £400,000 a week, which would make him the league’s best-paid player, just above the likes of Kevin De Bruyne and David De Gea.

LIVERPOOL TOLD SMS COST
Liverpool are also said to have been monitoring Sergej Milinkovic-Savic…

The rumours yesterday suggested the Reds and Juventus were most keen on the Serbia star, who was once a target for Manchester United.

Calciomercato says Liverpool and Juve have been informed by Lazio that the bidding will start at £67million for the 26-year-old.

PREM STRUGGLERS EYE CHELSEA FLOP
Despite Chelsea’s best efforts to shift Ross Barkley, the former England international remains at Stamford Bridge. But there is a queue of suitors building for the midfielder…

Come January, Barkley will have 18 months remaining on his contract, with Burnley, Newcastle and Leeds all keen to take the 27-year-old, according to 90min.

Burnley were interested in Barkley during the summer, while the former Everton player is also said to be on Newcastle’s list of attainable targets who could make an immediate impact in their survival fight.

Ruben Loftus-Cheek also features on that list but Thomas Tuchel is more minded to keep the 25-year-old around at Chelsea.
