Maybe we’ve all been too quick to write off Man Utd in the battle to sign Jude Bellingham this summer. Liverpool want the England midfielder and they hope he’ll bring a mate…

MAN UTD STILL IN RUNNING FOR BELLINGHAM
Just when it looked to be a two-horse race to sign Jude Bellingham, here come Manchester United steaming up on the outside…

It was thought that Bellingham would choose between Liverpool or Real Madrid if he is to leave Borussia Dortmund in the summer. Which is by no means certain – the Bundesliga club still retain hope of convincing him to stay for at last another year.

Liverpool’s concern is over a potential lack of Champions League football to offer next season, which shouldn’t be a problem for United, unless they implode down the home straight.

United’s interest in Bellingham is ‘genuine’, according to The Telegraph, and they aren’t concerned over a potential fee of at least £110million for the England star.

Nor should we rule out Manchester City, apparently, especially while they are ‘likely to top any bid’ made for Bellingham.

LIVERPOOL WANT ANOTHER DORTMUND MIDFIELDER
Liverpool need at least one midfielder this summer, ideally two, as Jurgen Klopp prepares to begin a significant rebuild. And the Reds hope Bellingham might being a mate from Dortmund with him to Anfield…

According to 90min, Liverpool have joined the clamour of clubs keen to get their hands on Julian Brandt. The germany international has scored nine goals and chipped in with five assists this season, which has prompted interest from Arsenal.

But Liverpool are also in the running, along with Manchester City and Newcastle.

REAL INTEREST IN LUKAKU
Real must also address their attack this summer, despite the expectation of securing Karim Benzema for at least another season. The French striker’s contract is currently due to expire on June 30 but widespread reports suggest he will sign a 12-month renewal.

Still, Real are in the market for a back-up and Fichajes reckons Romelu Lukaku could fall upwards and land at the Bernabeu.

Lukaku is currently on loan at Inter from Chelsea but neither club are keen to keep him. Inter have confirmed he will return to Stamford Bridge at the end of the season and the Blues are expected to shift him on again, with Real said to be sniffing.
