Transfer gossip: Man Utd, Liverpool scrap over Dortmund teen and Benfica duo

Man Utd are rivalling Liverpool for Youssoufa Moukoko and Enzo Fernandez, but the Reds are thinking ahead in the race to land Antonio Silva…

UNITED, LIVERPOOL SCRAP OVER MOUKOKO, FERNANDEZ
Manchester United appear intent on causing Liverpool a few problems next summer while they line up the same targets…

United have renewed their interest in Jude Bellingham, who was thought to be Anfield bound. He may still be, but Real Madrid, Manchester City and United all appear more willing to spend a larger sum on the England midfielder. Liverpool also fancy Bellingham’s Dortmund team-mate, Youssoufa Moukoko, but Bild reckons United are ready to rival the Reds for the Germany Under-21 too.

Then there’s Enzo Fernandez. The Benfica midfielder is thought to be one of Liverpool’s primary alternatives to Bellingham but Record says United are ‘crazy’ about the Argentina star, who has scored three goals and assisted four more in the Portuguese club’s impressive start to the season.

RED DEVILS, REAL EYE OSIMHEN
United’s main priority has to be a centre-forward and one report suggests they could wait until next summer for Victor Osimhen.

The Nigeria striker is in fine fettle with Napoli again this season, scoring nine goals and offering three assists in 13 games so far this season.

The Manchester Evening News says Osimhen is on United’s list of striking targets but they acknowledge it will be nigh on impossible to get him out of Naples in January while Napoli looked well-placed to win their first Serie A title since 1990.

Real Madrid could complicate matters, since Calciomercato says the European champions are also plotting a big-money move for the 23-year-old. In addition to Osimhen, Real are also keen to sign Rafael Leao from AC Milan, which just seems a bit greedy.

LIVERPOOL READY BIG BID FOR BENFICA DEFENDER
Liverpool may also have to fend off United in the race for Antonio Silva. But there’s lots of competition from elsewhere for the Benfica defender.

A Bola says Silva is the subject of interest from a Premier League side who are preparing a £52million offer for the 19-year-old. Calciomercato suggests that club could be Liverpool.

Real and PSG are also sniffing around Silva, with the Parisians said to be so keen, le10Sport says they are planning to blow everyone else out of the water with an offer that could reach £90million.
