Liverpool are keeping tabs on Lautaro Martinez, while Man Utd are chasing an Atletico midfielder who just happens to be in contract talks…

LIVERPOOL MULL OVER MOVE FOR MARTINEZ
Liverpool had few problems scoring goals last night but the Reds are reportedly looking to strengthen their frontline this summer.

One of the strikers they are monitoring is Lautaro Martinez. The Inter Milan forward was heavily linked with Barcelona last year but the Argentine stayed at Inter to partner Romelu Lukaku and win the Serie A title.

Martinez has bagged 16 goals so far in Inter’s title triumph while also laying on five of Lukaku’s strikes. Which has revved up the interest in the 23-year-old.

According to 90 min, Liverpool are one of the clubs to have asked to be kept informed of Martinez’s situation. Manchester City and Chelsea are also sniffing, with Martinez possibly available for under £70million this summer.

AGUERO BARCA BOUND

MAN UTD EYE ATLETICO STAR
One thing evident from Manchester United’s defeat to Liverpool: they need a new midfielder.

The Red Devils might be preparing a big offer for Marcos Llorente at Atletico Madrid. That’s the word according to The Mirror, which reports that Atletico have stepped up contract negotiations with the 26-year-old amid increased interest from United.

Llorente’s deal at Atletico doesn’t run out until 2024 but the club are wary of Ole Gunnar Solskjaer lurking around the Spain midfielder. Which is all very convenient for his agent.

DORTMUND TO RECEIVE LINGARD PART-EX OFFER
This week, we’ve heard that Jadon Sancho is a priority for United this summer, and we’re also told that he’s not. Go figure.

Regardless, The Sun is suggesting one way that Ed Woodward and his cronies might save themselves a few quid rather than cough up the £78million Borussia Dortmund reportedly want for the England winger.

Apparently, United might look to use Jesse Lingard as a makeweight in any deal. They value the West Ham loanee at around £20million, despite him entering the final year of his contract at Old Trafford.
