Man Utd want around £40million for Anthony Martial which doesn’t appear to have put Barcelona off. Also: United and Arsenal keepers are set to move in January…
BARCA OPTION FOR MARTIAL
Anthony Martial appears to be the odd man out in Manchester United‘s forward line, and the France forward is said to have been given the green light to find a new club in January.
That’s the word according to Eurosport. But Martial is reportedly concerned about being priced out of a move.
Barcelona are interested though United aren’t going to allow Martial to leave on the cheap with three years remaining on his contract. Atletico Madrid were also keen before they signed Antoine Griezmann, while Martial is open to staying in the Premier League.
Apparently, United are looking for around £40million to allow the 25-year-old to leave.
MAN UTD KEEPER EYES JANUARY SWITCH
Dean Henderson is also keen to exit Old Trafford in January, though the England keeper is looking for a loan move.
Henderson appeared all set to usurp David De Gea as United’s first-choice keeper but injury and Covid has given the Spaniard a clear run at the No.1 spot.
The Sun says Henderson wants to be allowed a temporary move in the New Year to restate his credentials.
LENO WANTS ARSENAL EXIT
Another keeper keen to move in January is Bernd Leno.
The signing of Aaron Ramsdale was always likely to put the Germany international’s nose out of joint and now the new recruit has taken the No.1 spot, Eurosport reckons Arsenal have made Leno available for a move in January.
A return to the Bundesliga is said to be the most likely option for the 29-year-old.
CHELSEA HAD €100M OFFER READY FOR PSG STAR
Chelsea were in the market for a centre-back in the summer and reports in France suggest they wanted to raid PSG once more for one of Thiago Silva’s old team-mates.
RMC Sport says the Blues were ready to offer £86million to sign Marquinhos.
But Chelsea backed off when it became clear that PSG had no desire to sell and the Brazilian’s preference was to remain in Paris.
LIVERPOOL LURKING AROUD HUDSON-ODOI
Chelsea may have to field interest from Liverpool in Callum Hudson-Odoi.
The winger has struggled to assert himself in Thomas Tuchel’s first XI and Calciomercato suggests the 20-year-old is on Liverpool’s radar.
Hudson-Odoi was first linked with the Reds back in 2019 but he know has three years remaining on the contract he since signed at Stamford Bridge.
