Harry Kane and Jadon Sancho

Man Utd could miss out on Harry Kane and Jadon Sancho this summer…

CITY LEAD QUEUE FOR KANE
“Next question please. He’s a Tottenham Hotspur player,” said Pep Guardiola when asked about Harry Kane after Manchester City somehow contrived to lose 3-2 to Brighton on Tuesday night. But according to the Daily Mail, ‘Manchester City are emerging as the leading contenders’ for the England captain, who is not intending to back down on his request to leave Tottenham this summer.

‘While Tottenham are insistent they will not sell, it is believed a fee of £150million could be too good for the club to reject,’ it says here, and City ‘would certainly be able to finance such a move for Kane’. Though whether they actually would is another matter; Pep has previously said that such a move would be “impossible”.

Manchester United are still contenders despite the re-signing of Edinson Cavani, it seems, with Ole Gunnar Solskjaer saying on Tuesday night: “Yeah Edi (Cavani) signed but how many good strikers have we had at this club? And I can’t say we’re not signing a striker, of course not because we’re building towards a better squad.”

Of course Kane wants out – who wouldn’t? – but he trapped himself

CHELSEA MOVE FOR SANCHO
CHELSEA plan to step up their pursuit of Jadon Sancho by launching an £80million bid,’ according to an exclusive in The Sun. Manchester United are also thought to be interested in the Borussia Dortmund man, a year after finding his £117m price tag a little too rich for their blood.

Sancho was a Chelsea fan as a boy so the Blues should certainly have an advantage if he has a choice between Chelsea and United, particularly as both are likely to be in the Champions League last season after Tuesday night’s impressive win over Leicester.

HENDERSON IN DEMAND
‘Top clubs across Europe look set to battle it out for Manchester United keeper Dean Henderson this summer, as his future at Old Trafford hangs in the balance,’ say Sky Sports, basing their story on the goalkeeper returning to the bench against summer after high-profile mistakes against Liverpool last week.

They claim that Tottenham, Borussia Dortmund, Chelsea and AC Milan have all expressed an interest in Henderson, though some of those feel like wishful thinking from the goalkeeper’s agent.
